WORRIED ABOUT IRAN NUCLEAR PROGRAM: Khatami, IAEA grants rights

BETWEEN TWO WEEKS IS THE FILE OPENS IN VIENNA
(ANSA-AFP) - TEHRAN, 28 August - The presidnete Iran's Mohammed Khatami
ask today that the UN agency for nuclear safety
recognizes the right of the Islamic Republic
enrichment of uranium for civilian uses.
''We hope that the negotiations which have led to the logical solution
lead us to recognize our right to enrich
peaceful (uranium) and to be accepted into the club
''of countries that carry on this road,
Khatami said during a news conference.''
''Then, there will be problems,''between Iran and IAEA
assured the Iranian leader.
In two weeks, the UN agency should reopen the
Iranian dossier in Vienna.

(ANSA-AFP) - TEHRAN, Aug 28 -''The Iranian issue will not
'closed in September,''Khatami admitted,''but their attitude will determine
' in our future.'' However, he added
the Iranian president,''many problems were solved
, the Iranian dossier can 'be closed.'' It seems, still has
said that''the next report (IAEA)
could be positive.''
''We want to bring nuclear technology to produce enriched uranium
3.5%'', far from
needs' military, said Khatami, adding
that Iran wants nothing more''and 'our right and nobody can'
deprived of this technology.''
Khatami has therefore stressed the will 'of his country to cooperate
''than with the IAEA, the Europeans and others.''
''We are against, has made it clear, in any
tensions and the fact that our dossier is sent to the Security Council''
UN, as they would like the Americans.
We will do everything possible''to reach an agreement acceptable to us and other
.''
